Latest Persimmon Development Revealed – Worthing

New planning applications have been revealed for 465 new houses in Worthing

There is set to be a public consultation within Worthing about plans to build new homes on part of Goring Gap.

Landowners Persimmon aren’t wanting develop the area of Chatsmore Farm in Goring. However, a local council spokesman confirmed that there is a local plan that proposes to designate land as protected by local green gap.

Apparently, of the 465 homes Persimmon are looking to build, 30% will be classed as affordable. Within the plans it also includes a new local centre for the community, parking for the nearby railway station and lots of public open space. They also say they will keep an extensive amount of wildlife.

Persimmon have been hoping to build on Chatsmore Farm for a while now, and have always believed that there should be housing on the land. However, the council hopes to protect the space from being built on.

The consultation itself will be held on Monday the 7th of October between 1:30-7:30 at The Richmond Room, Ground Floor, Assembly Hall, Stoke Abbott Road, Worthing.
