A property is one of the most expensive assets that anyone can purchase within their life time. Whether you have lived in your property for ten years or have just bought it and want to stamp your personality on it, this article intends to give advice on boosting kerb appeal.

Revamp Front Door

To create a cracking first impression, giving your front door a fresh coat of paint can immediately boost your kerb appeal. Whether you are wanting to keep the same colour or change a more exciting colour, painting a front door can give any home a brand-new look. According to property experts, in city areas, pastel colours work best. Within country areas, a more neutral colour goes well with a property.

Although, there are no rules to painting a door! Choose a colour that suits your personality or matches with the interior of a property.

Maintain Windows And Paintwork

Painting isn’t always everyone’s strong suit, however, it is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to boost kerb appeal. Over time, exterior wood work on window ledges and fence panels start to crack and wear away. Any homeowner can try to improve the appeal of their property by reapplying paint to wooden areas.

Using creosote on fences not only gives fence panels a fresh look, it also treats the wood. Henceforth, this helps the panels to live longer, therefore meaning they don’t have to be replaced.

To add value to your exterior, start by looking around to see where areas may have been neglected and need fixing up. For example, if there are any broken parts to your fencing or if there are holes in pavements. These two example may seem a hard fix, however, there are lots of different YouTube videos out there with ways to help you fix issues around your garden.

This may seem the hardest part, but keeping a clear cut and well maintained garden is key to your property having a well groomed appearance. There are lots of small jobs that can be achieved to boost any property’s kerb appeal. So, lets get cracking!

To start, grab the gardening gloves and begin de-weeding any areas. Weeds can be little monsters, we know! They appear in cracks in patios, grass and garden beds.
