What influenced you to work in the property industry?

“I was influenced by my sister really as she worked for RBS before myself and said it was a great place to work. I have come far in the time I have worked in the property industry and working for an estate agent for a long time set me in good stead for the information I know now as a whole of market mortgage adviser.”

Are there any recent mortgage insights you can give our readers?

“The mortgage world has opened up in recent years so there are many more options to borrowers. In the last few years 95% mortgages are now more available which is amazing for first time buyers and also home movers who may have been stuck as part of the crash with little equity left in their home. Interest rates are at an all-time low, and more people with credit issues in the back ground are getting mortgages.”

How do you think Brexit will affect mortgage rates and number of homes sold?

“No one has a crystal ball, I do think that us coming out of the EU will personally be a better thing in the mortgage world going forward into 2020 and we will see more new houses being built with house prices also steadily increasing for current home owners.”

What are the main things to look out for when choosing a mortgage?

“The main thing in choosing a mortgage is making sure you have the right deal for you and your circumstances, this could be how you long you fix your mortgage for or even the overall term of the mortgage.”

What are your career plans over the next few years?

“My plans are to progress at Mortgage Advice Hub, and I have a few ideas in the pipeline and will see how they take off in the New Year.”
